Weil BATON ROUGE, LA - LSU looked to bounce back from Friday night's disappointing 7-4 loss to Kentucky and did just that with a very nice, 7-0 victory on Saturday afternoon at Alex Box Stadium/Skip Bertman Field in front of 11,268 LSU fans on a beautiful day in Baton Rouge. Due to Cooper Moore's elbow injury, William Schmidt has slide into the game two role, taking the bump on Saturday and going 5.1 innings, giving up no runs on six hits. He walked two and struck out three. Schmidt (4-1) got the win. Zac Cowan registered his first save of the season. LSU got things going in the bottom of the second.
