Da Boot Sports 2/14/2026 By: Terrill J. Weil BATON ROUGE, LA - LSU returned to the diamond for game two against Milwaukee and came away with a 5-3 victory. Cooper Moore (1-0) got the start on the bump for the Bayou Bengals and pitched six innings, giving up one run on two hits. He struck out 11 to register his first win of the season. Grant Fontenot got the save. Trent Caraway led off the bottom of the third with a single up the middle. Chris Stanfield made it safely on an error throw by the short stop. The error allowed Caraway to move to third and Stanfield to advance to second base. Derek Curiel hit a sacrifice fly deep to left field to bring Caraway home and move Stanfield to third. Jake Brown then singled to right field to bring Stanfield home. The third came to an end with LSU leading 2-0. The Panthers got on the board in the top of the fourth when Bradyn Horn launched a solo homer to left field, cutting the Tigers' lead in half, 2-1 as we headed to the bottom of the frame. With two on in the bottom of the eighth, Steven Milam would hit a double to left center, plating two big runs. Arrambide then doubled to center field to bring Milam home. We headed to the ninth with LSU on top, 5-1. Milwaukee would plate two more runs, chasing Zac Cowan who entered the game in the ninth. Grant Fontenot replaced Cowan to record the final out for the Tigers. The 2-0 Tigers will play game three of the series against Milwaukee on Sunday at 1:00pm. *John 14:6 - "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
