 Photo By: LSUsports.net Da Boot Sports 4/4/2025 By: Terrill J. Weil NORMAN, OK - LSU returned to the diamond in Norman and defeated the Sooners, 10-2 to win the series. Anthony Eyanson got the start on the bump for the Tigers. He ended up going 5.2 innings giving up two runs on three hits. He walked four while striking out eight, while earning the win. LSU got things going in the top of the second inning. Steven Milam started it off drawing a walk. Josh Pearson was then hit by a pitch. After back to back outs by Hernandez and Reaves, Chris Stanfield doubled to left field to bring home Milam and Pearson. Derek Curiel then doubled to right field, bringing Stanfield home. Jared Jones stepped to the plate and hit a single up the middle to bring home Curiel. The Sooners would finally get out of the frame with LSU leading, 4-0. The Sooners plated two runs in the bottom of the third, cutting the LSU lead to, 4-2. In the top of the sixth, LSU added a run to their lead when Josh Pearson hit a leadoff homer. 5-2, Tigers as the game headed to the bottom of the fifth. The Tigers did a great job of manufacturing an insurance run in the seventh to increase their lead to 6-2. LSU added to the lead in the top of the ninth. Daniel Dickinson led off with a solo home run. Then with two outs, Josh Pearson blasted a solo shot over the right field wall. Hernandez followed with a single up the middle. Braswell then singled to left field. Stanfield stepped to the plate and doubled to left field to bring two more runs home. We headed to the bottom of the ninth with LSU ON TOP, 10-2. Casan Evans replaced Eyanson in the sixth and pitched a strong game the rest of the way. LSU improves to 29-3 overall and 9-2 in the SEC. Next up, LSU will look to sweep the Sooners on Saturday.
