Weil OMAHA, NE - LSU took game one of the national championship series in Omaha with a hard fought 1-0 pitcher’s duel victory over Coastal Carolina. Kade Anderson (12-1) pitched a masterful gem and the LSU defense made the plays to help earn the win. Anderson pitched a complete game shut out, giving up no runs on only three hits. He struck out ten and walked five while hitting two batters. What an amazing job by Kade Anderson. The Tigers got on the scoreboard early. Derek Curiel started the bottom of the first with a leadoff walk. Steven Milam then hit a one out single to bring Curiel home. The one run would be all the Tigers needed for the huge victory. The Tigers snapped the Rooster’s 26 game winning streak. LSU is now only one win away from their 8th national championship. Game two is Sunday, June 22, at 1:30pm CST. The game will be televised on ABC or ESPN Plus.
