Da Boot Sports 8/7/2024 By: Terrill J. Weil BATON ROUGE, LA - Practice on Wednesday morning saw the Tigers hit the field in full pads. They turned up the physicality meter a few notches. The team exhibits hustle and intensity throughout each practice session. Some good news is the defensive line continues to show steady improvement. When you face perhaps the best offensive line in the country everyday, you can't help but get better. Garrett Nussmeier looks to be in complete control of the offense, making good reads and accurate throws. The battle for the backup quarterback position remains close between AJ Swann and Rickie Collins. The receivers and secondary continue their daily battles as this deep corps of LSU wide receivers have been testing a talented group of defensive backs. No doubt, the secondary will benefit and improve more and more each day. Ashton Stamps continues to impress and make big plays in camp. No doubt he will be a starter at corner. The team will take off on Thursday for a rest and recovery day before returning back to practice on Friday morning. LSU Offensive Coordinator Joe Sloan met with the media after practice. Video footage is posted below from that press conference. Photos Below By: Michael Bacigalupi John 14:6 - "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
