   BATON ROUGE, LA - Friday morning's practice was originally scheduled to be open to the media, but LSU changed it to a close practice. 

   Brian Kelly addressed the media before Joe Sloan's press conference to put the Garrett Nussmeier injury rumor to rest. "For the record, he has tendinitis, patella tendinitis. On a scale from 1-10, this is a 1.5,.... It's not a serious injury. He doesn't have a torn ACL. We have not amputated his leg." said Kelly. "Tomorrow he'll be back out most likely in a practice situation."

   Aaron Anderson returned to practice on Friday morning.

   The Tigers will practice Saturday morning. The media will be allowed to view the practice only. No photos or video allowed.

LSU freshman running back turns himself in on accessory charge

   BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A freshman LSU football running back turned himself in to university police early Friday afternoon after an arrest warrant was issued for him on two felony counts of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder, his attorney said.
The player, JT Lindsey of Alexandria, is accused of allowing two teenagers wanted on second-degree murder charges to stay at his dorm on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge earlier this year.

The suspects, 17-year-old Shemell Jacobs and 18-year-old Keldrick Jordan, were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in the Riverbend Building of the Nicholson Gateway dorms on Monday, August 4, 2025.


Lindsey went to high school in Alexandria with the two suspects. It’s believed the pair had been staying in his LSU on-campus apartment for nearly two weeks, a source familiar with the case told the WAFB I-TEAM.

A source tells the WAFB I-TEAM that marshals found multiple guns in the apartment-style dorm, including two AR-15 rifles, a Draco, and a Glock.

They were wanted in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Corey Brooks that happened in Alexandria last May.
