Da Boot Sports 10/30/2025 By: Da Boot Sports Staff BATON ROUGE, LA - Scott Woodward is gone. LSU has decided to part ways with the athletic director as they are currently working on an exit agreement. Woodward who has been LSU's athletic director since 2019 is responsible for the two biggest contract buyouts in college football history. $76 million to Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M and $53 million to Brian Kelly at LSU. Woodward has a $6.4 million buyout himself. Executive Deputy Athletic Director Verge Ausberry will serve as interim AD until a replacement is found.
