BATON ROUGE, LA - On Friday, December 17, the Tigers added another offensive lineman through the portal. Former Northwestern offensive lineman Josh Thompson sign with LSU. Previous reports predicted that Thompson had decided to sign with Tennessee, but apparently Brian Kelly made a strong last minute pushed that flipped him to Baton Rouge. Thompson has graded extremely high both as a run blocker and pass protector, making him an impact full package player. Exactly what LSU needs after losing four starters from the offensive line.

With the addition of Braelin Moore and Thompson, LSU has added two quality offensive linemen who rate very high in their run blocking skills, something that the Bayou Bengals struggled with in 2024.

Expect Brian Kelly to remain active and aggressive in the transfer portal. The portal winter session closes at the end of tomorrow, Saturday, December 28 and will re-open in the spring for ten days, from April 16 to the April 25.

*Harold Perkins made the announcement that he will be returning to LSU in 2025. The news had unofficially leaked a couple of weeks ago, but the star LSU Linebacker made it official on Friday. He missed a majority of the 2024 season after suffering a torn ACL in the UCLA game on September 21.
