Walker Howard to Enter NCAA Transfer Portal

BATON ROUGE, LA - LSU quarterback Walker Howard has decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Howard took a redshirt last season as a true freshman and is considered by many to be the most talented quarterback on the LSU roster.

But with Jayden Daniels announcing that he will return for the 2023 season and backup Garrett Nussmeier showing improvement in his recent appearances, Howard is ready to look for playing time elsewhere.

Howard apparently isn’t thrilled about settling with battling for the backup job against Nussmeier after Brian Kelly confirmed that Jayden Daniels is LSU’s starting quarterback.
