Greg Heiar Leaving LSU Basketball Staff

       BATON ROUGE, La: On Thursday the LSU Basketball program lost a key part of their recent success.  Coach Greg Heiar announced that he is leaving Will Wade's staff.  
          Coach Heiar joined LSU as an assistant when Wade was hired as the Tigers head coach in
2017.  
       Neither Heiar or LSU have stated any reason on why the Associate Head Basketball Coach is leaving the coaching staff. 
         He was the key recruiting leader for the last couple of seasons, helping to land Naz Reid,
​Tremont Waters, and Darius Days to name a few, that has helped Will Wade turn the program around. 
         With the departure of Greg Heiar, the LSU Board of Supervisors approved new contracts 
on Friday for current members of the basketball staff.
         Bill Armstrong has been promoted to Associate Head Coach, while Kevin Nickelberry will return to a on-floor coaching position.
