BATON ROUGE, LA - On Tuesday night LSU hosted Florida State for the SEC/ACC Challenge and came away with a big 85-75 win. After an up and down first half, LSU took control early in the second half and earned an impressive win over a good Florida State team.

LSU finished the night shooting 28-62 from the floor for 45%. They hit 9-27 from behind the arc for 33%. The Tigers had a great night at the free throw line, sinking 20-29 for 69%.
Cam Carter led the Tigers with 26 points. Jordan Sears had 21 points. Vyctorius Miller added 15 points. Dji Bailey finished with 8 points. Robert Miller III scored 5 points. Corey Chest and Daimian Collins finished with 4 points each. Jalen Reed had 2 points before he left the contest with a leg injury.

Early on it was a back and forth contest, as we stood at a 7-7 tie at the 15:27 mark for a media timeout. Over the next three minutes LSU would outscore the Seminoles, 8-6 to grab a 15-13 lead with 12:04 on the clock.

The game stayed close and competitive before FSU would go on a 17-12 run to take a 30-23 lead at the 4:31 mark.

The Tigers would claw back to within three as the first half ended with FSU holding a 35-32 lead.

LSU shot 12-34 from the floor for 35%, while shooting 3-14 from three point land for 21%. The Bayou Bengals sank 5-7 from the free throw line for 71%. Each team committed seven turnovers each and the rebound battle was even at 23-23 at the break.
Cam Carter led the Tigers with 10 points. Jordan Sears and Dji Bailey scored 6 points each. Corey Chest added 4, while Jalen Reed, Daimion Collins and Vyctorius Miller finished with 2 points each in the first half.

The Tigers started the second half with an 8-0 run to retake the lead, 40-35, forcing FSU to call a timeout at the 18:06 mark.

LSU continued their fine play on both ends of the court, outscoring the Noles, 14-10 over the next six minutes to increase their lead to 54-45 with 12:01 left in the contest. Six minutes later, the Tigers found themselves up by ten, 66-56 at the 6:38 mark.

The Bayou Bengals simply controlled the contest over the final six minutes for a nice victory for LSU...

The Tigers are now 7-1 on the season. Next up, LSU will host Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday, December 8. Tipoff is set for 2:00 pm.
