Weil COLUMBIA, MO - LSU went into Saturday's contest with Missouri hoping to get a sweep, but unfortunately Mizzou was able to take down the Lady Tigers, 1-0 behind a great pitching performance by Ceirra Harrison. Paytn Monticelli (3-2) got the start in the circle and went four innings, giving up one run on four hits. she walked three and struck out three. She was charged with the loss. Missouri got on the scoreboard first, plating the only run of the game in the bottom of the third. 1-0 home team Tigers as we moved to the fourth inning. Coach Torina decided to replace Monticelli with Jayden Heavener early in the top of the fifth. Heavener did a great job of getting the Lady Tigers back into then dug out quickly. Still 1-0 Mizzou as we headed to the top of the sixth inning. LSU simply couldn't generate any offense against the red hot Ceirra Harrison. With the loss, the Lady Tigers fall to 25-13 overall and 6-9 in SEC play. Next up, LSU will host Central Arkansas on Tuesday, April 7 at 6:00pm. *John 14:6 - "I am the way and the truth and the life.
