 Photo By: LSUsports.net Da Boot Sports 11/20/2025 By: Terrill Weil BATON ROUGE, LA - The 5th ranked LSU Lady Tigers played Alcorn State on Thursday night in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center and came away with an impressive, 112-49 victory in front of 9,975 Tiger fans. LSU tied a NCAA record and set a SEC record by scoring 100 points in six straight games. The Ben-Gals shot an outstanding, 41-71 from the floor for 58%. They finished, 6-16 from behind the three point arc for 38%. At the charity stripe, LSU sank, 24-30 for 80%. The Lady Tigers out-rebounded Alcorn State an amazing, 50-16 in the game. LSU played relentless defense, forcing the Lady Braves into 31 turnovers, while the only blemish on the night for LSU was 17 turnovers. Both Flau'Jae Johnson and MiLaysia Fulwiley led the team with 18 points each. Mikaylah Williams scored 15. Kate Koval finished with a double/double, 15 points and 12 rebounds. Grace Knox added 12 points. ZaKiyah Johnson and Amiya Joyner both scored 9 points each. Jada Richard had 8. Bella Hines and Divine Bourrage both contributed 3 points each. Meghan Yarnevich finished with 2 points. The Lady Tigers started the contest racing out to a 13-3 lead over the first five minutes of the period. LSU shifted gears to out-score the Lady Braves, 18-8 over the final five minutes of the first quarter. As the contest moved to the second period, the Ben-Gals led, 31-11. The Lady Tigers continued to dominate on both ends of the court, extending their lead to, 44-13 at the 5:05 mark of the second period. LSU ended a dominating first half, leading 57-21. The Lady Tigers shot an amazing, 60% from the floor in the first half. They were 5-10 from behind the arc. LSU continues to shoot fantastic from the free throw line, sinking, 10-12 for 83%. LSU out-rebounded the Braves, 23-11 and the Lady Tigers committed seven first half turnovers while forcing Alcorn State into 16. MiLaysia Fulwiley led the team at the break with 12 points. Kate Koval scored 9. Mikaylah Williams added 8 points. Grace Knox, Flae'Jae Johnson and ZaKiyah Johnson all had 6 points each. Amiya Joyner finished with 4. Divine Bourrage had 3 and Jada Richard scored 2 points. The Lady Braves started the second half with improved shooting, but they were still no match for the hot Lady Tigers, who our-scored Alcorn State, 17-11 over the first five and a half minutes of the period. 74-32, LSU at the 4:33 mark. LSU continued to pour it on the Lady Braves, out-scoring them, 12-3 over the final 4:33 of the third period to take an 86-35 advantage into the final quarter. At the 4:40 official's timeout, LSU held a commanding, 99-42 lead. LSU coasted on a night that every player on the team roster scored. With the win, the Lady Tigers improve to 6-0. Next up, LSU will travel to the Virgin Islands to compete in the Paradise Jam, where they will play Marist on Friday, November 28 at 7:00pm CST, then they will take on either Miami or Washington State on Saturday, November 29, TBA.
