Da Boot Sports 2/19/2026 By: Terrill J. Weil OXFORD, MS - The Lady Tigers stormed back in the fourth period to win a huge conference game on the road against Ole Miss on Thursday night. A great win for Kim Mulkey's Ben-Gals! LSU shot 48% from the field on the night. They hit 4-12 from three point land. From the free throw line, they sank 16-20 for 80%. LSU out-rebounded Ole Miss 42-37. Fulwiley led the team with 26 points. Flau'jae scored 18. Joyner and Richard added 8 points each. Williams contributed 7. Z. Johnson scored 6 points. Knox added 3. Koval scored 2 points. The game pace started fast and physical with LSU hitting big shots against a tough Ole Miss defense. At the 5:36 media timeout, the Lady Tigers led 14-7. Over the next three minutes, Ole Miss out-scored the Lady Tigers, 12-10, cutting the LSU advantage to 24-19 at the 2:18 mark. The first period ended with LSU ahead, 26-21. The Lady Tigers shot an amazing 77% from the field in the first quarter. Flau'jae Johnson left the game with an ankle injury after scoring 9 points and hopefully will be able to return. Flau'jae was able to return to the contest. The Ole Miss defense was doing a great job of not allowing LSU to pull away, keeping the game close. At the 3:55 official's timeout we were all even at 31-31. The Lady Rebels out-played LSU in the second period, out-scoring them 12-6 over the final 3:55 of the first half to lead, 43-37 at halftime. LSU shot 15-27 from the field in the first half for 56%. They sank 2-6 from behind the arc for 33%. At the charity stripe, they hit 5-6 for 83%. LSU led the rebound battle, 15-13 at the break. The Lady Tigers committed 11 costly first half turnover while Ole Miss had seven. Falu'jae led the team at the break with 9 points. Williams scored 7. Z. Johnson finished with 6 points. Joyner and Fulwiley both had 4 points each. Knox added 3 points. Richard and Koval scored 2 points each. Ole Miss remained in control of the contest halfway through the third period. At the 5:35 official's timeout, the Lady Rebels led 52-45. The Lady Rebels dominated the third period on both ends of the floor, taking a 63-54 lead into the fourth quarter. LSU continued their sloppy offensive play into the final period as Ole Miss led, 69-61 with 5:34 to play. The Lady Tigers stepped up their defense, helping them go on an 8-0 run to tie the game at 69-69 with only 3:29 left in the contest. With 1:24 left on the clock, LSU led 74-70. The Lady Tigers defense kept Ole Miss without a basket, 0-16 from the field in the fourth period, only scoring points from the free throw line. LSU improves to 23-4 overall and 9-4 in the SEC. Next up the Lady Tigers will return home to host Missouri on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 3:00pm.
