Horn played two years of college football(1991–1992) at Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi. At Itawamba, he picked up 54 catches for 878 yards and seven touchdowns as a wide receiver and a punt returner. Horn didn't play a down of football for two years after leaving college. After playing two years at Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi, Horn worked at a Bojangles' restaurant in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Down to his final few dollars, he bought a Jerry Rice workout video from a local Blockbuster and studied the drills and moves Rice performed in the film. Horn then made a highlight video of himself working out and sent the tape to multiple professional teams across the United States and Canada. Horn had a short stint with three CFL teams. Baltimore Stallions, Shreveport Pirates and the Memphis Mad Dogs. He had a break out season with the Mad Dogs in 1994, with 71 catches for 1,415 yards, and caught the attention of NFL scouts. The Kansas city Chiefs drafted Horn in the 5th round of the 1996 draft. He mainly played special teams with limited wide receiver playing time, starting only two games in three seasons. Horn signed with the Saints in 2000 where his career took off. He played in New Orleans for seven seasons making the Pro Bowl four times. He set single season franchise records with 1,399 receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, 11. Horn also set the career franchise record for receiving touchdowns with 50. He is also the Saints' all-time leader in 100-yard receiving games at 27. He left the Saints finishing second in catches, 523 and in receiving yards, 7,622 in franchise history. The Saints released Horn after the 2006 season after he refused to restructure his contract. He would play in Atlanta in 2007 before deciding to retire in 2010 after not playing football in 2008 and 2009. Horn is a member of the Saints Hall of Fame.
