Weil Steve Korte was a 2nd round pick in the 1983 NFL Draft out of Arkansas where he was a consensus All-American in 1982 at guard. He bench pressed 585 pounds, making him one of the strongest football players in Arkansas Razorback football history. In 2015 Korte was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor. Korte played guard and center for the Saints from 1983 to 1989. He was a solid anchor on the New Orleans offensive line and became a fan favorite.
