Weil BATON ROUGE, LA -The Houston Rockets took LSU forward Tari Eason with the 17th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft on Thursday night. Eason had a career year last season becoming a first team All-SEC and AP Honorable Mention All-American selection, while also being voted the SEC's Sixth Man of the Year. After playing at Cincinnati during his freshman year, he transferred to LSU where he averaged 16.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.0 steals a game while averaging 24.4 minutes of playing time per contest. Tari Eason is the 17th all-time player to be drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft.
