FAYETTEVILLE, AK - LSU took their two game winning streak to Fayetteville, Arkansas looking to pull out a win against the Hogs in Bud Walton Arena. But it wasn't meant to be as Arkansas defeated the Tigers, 94-83.

The Tigers shot a weak 48% from the floor on the night. They also struggled from three point land, only hitting 5-18 for 28%. LSU sank 18-26 from the free throw line for 69%. The Tigers committed ten costly turnovers and were out-rebounded, 34-30 in the contest.
Jordan Wright led the Tigers with 24 points. Tyrell Ward added 19 on the night. Derek Fountain added 10, while Trae Hannibal had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Jalen Reed managed 8 points. Michael Williams III and Will Baker both finished with three points each and Hunter Dean only contributed 2 points in the loss.

Both teams had played pretty well in the first half even thought the game was sloppy at times. The contest stayed close until the 11:34 mark, when Arkansas started to slowly pull away for the Tigers.

With 7:45 left in the half, the Razorbacks went up by ten, 29-19 on a dunk by Makhi Mitchell.

The Tigers were able to claw back to stay within shouting distance, scoring the final two baskets of the first 20 minutes to pull to within seven, 42-35 as the first half ended.

LSU shot 14-33 from the floor in the first half, for 42%. They hit 2-9 from behind the three point arc for 22%. They sank 5-7 from the free throw line for 71%.  The first half turnovers were even at nine a piece. LSU lead in rebounding, 16-13.
Jordan Wright led the team at the half with 7 points. Tyrell Ward and Jalen Reed both had 6 points each. Trae Hannibal added 5, while Derek Fountain and Mike Wliiams III each finished with 4 points. Mwani Wilkinson scored 3 points.

Arkansas started the second half out-scoring LSU 11-9 over the first five minutes to hold a 53-44 lead.

LSU flipped the script over the next four minutes, out-scoring the Hogs, 11-7 to cut the Arkansas lead to 60-55 with 11:34 left in the contest.

With 5:53 left on the clock, LSU would begin to struggle to score, as Arkansas began to pull away again, out-scoring LSU, 11-2 over the next three minutes to grab an 81-68 lead at the 3:05 mark.

The Tigers simply couldn't stop Arkansas from scoring while being unable to chip away at the lead, sputtering on the offensive side of the court. The Hogs were able to hold on for the victory at home.
