By: Terrill J. Weil Da Boot Sports! Its been reported today by ESPN that they have newly obtained investigation documents that state LSU Basketball Head Coach Will Wade "arranged for, offered and/or provided impermissible payments, including cash payments, to at least 11 men's basketball prospective student-athletes, their family members, individuals associated with the prospects and/or non-scholastic coaches in exchange for the prospects' enrollment at LSU," according to the report. It is however unclear how many, if any of the 11 recruits who are part of the investigation ended up signing with LSU. Will Wade was suspended by LSU in March 2019 after there were reports of a recorded phone conversation in 2017 between Wade and sports agent Christian Dawkins. During the conversation, Wade mentions a "strong ass offer" that was apparently made to a recruit. LSU reinstated Wade a month later and also renegotiated his contract with the stipulation that he can be fired if evidence would surface that he was involved in major NCAA violations. Will Wade has denied all wrongdoing.
