LSU will be looking to bounce back after finishing this past weekend 2-2, falling twice to Alabama at the 'Bama Bash' in Tuscaloosa. The Tigers would shut out the Bears 3-0 in the first game of the day. Shelby Wickersham would earn the win to go 2-1 on the season. She would pitch the complete game shutout, giving up four hits, four base on balls, and register six strike outs. The Tigers would struggle at the plate until late in the game as Central Arkansas pitcher Rio Sanchez did a great job keeping LSU's dangerous lineup under control. LSU would strike for a run in the second inning as Ciara Briggs lead the inning off with a triple to deep left center field. Two batters later Taylor Tidwell would hit a sacrifice fly to right field scoring Briggs for a 1-0 LSU lead. The Bears would get a runner in scoring position in both 4th and 5th innings, but Wickersham and the LSU defense were able to escape each threat with no damage done. LSU would plate two insurance runs in the bottom of the 6th as Aliyah Andrews would lead off with a single, then steal second base. Amanda Doyle would then blaze a single to left field bringing Andrews home. After a Shelbi Sunseri walk, Georgia Clark would hit a RBI single to finish off the scoring. With the win, the Tigers are now 6-3 on the season...
