Weil Da Boot Sports BATON ROUGE, LA:: After winning game one, 3-0, the Tigers would again flex their muscles in the circle as Ali Kilponen (1-1) would pitch a complete game shutout, giving up only three hits while collecting 14 strikeouts, as LSU would defeat Central Arkansas in game two, 2-0 for the sweep. The Tigers would score their only runs of the game in the first inning. Aliyah Andrews would hit a lead off single. She would then steal second base, and advance to third on a throwing error by the Central Arkansas catcher. Taylor Pleasants would then step up to the plate and air mail a two run home run over left field wall. The rest of the contest became a pitching duel, as both Kilponen and Central Arkansas' Jordan Johnson would perform at a high level keeping the bats quiet the rest of the way.. With the win, LSU moves to 7-3 on the season Up next the Tigers will play in the ULL/LSU Invitational. Play will begin on Thursday ending on Sunday.
