Da Boot Sports 8/13/2021 LSU Sports Information By: Grant Kauvar BATON ROUGE – Amani Bartlett, a four-star forward from Houston Christian High School and one of the top remaining players in the 2021 recruiting class, has signed with LSU Women’s Basketball head coach Kim Mulkey announced Monday. Bartlett, a Cleveland, Texas native is the No. 51 ranked player in the Class of 2021 and has a 93-scout grade from ESPN HoopGurlz. She is tabbed as the No. 3 player out of Texas by Premier Basketball. “Amani’s size and skill set will allow her to contribute to our team in a variety of ways,” Coach Mulkey said. “We’re excited to have her join our Tiger basketball family!” A star from Houston Christian High School, Bartlett is ranked No. 12 among forwards in her class. The 6-3 Bartlett will bring length and athleticism to the Tigers’ roster. In January of 2020, Bartlett recorded 11 blocks in a single game. Bartlett was the 2019-20 Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC) Most Valuable Player, 2020 VYPE Private School Player of the Year and was named to the 2019-20 SPC First Team. Bartlett was a leader on the 2019-20 Houston Christian team that had a state championship game appearance. Bartlett will be at LSU for the first day of classes next Monday, August 23
