4/16/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil Da Boot Sports BATON ROUGE: Nikki Fargas has reportedly resigned and is moving on from the LSU program. The decision comes after her 10th season with her team posting a 9-13 record. Fargas leaves LSU with a career record of 177-129 (.578 winning percentage).... The Lady Tiger program has struggled to compete in the powerful SEC over the past few seasons and haven't won a NCAA tournament game in seven years. This is a huge opportunity for AD Scott Woodward. Hiring a big name head coach that would come in and turn the program back around to the level of success they experienced in the early 2000s (five straight trips to the Final Four) would no doubt electrify the fan base. A couple of weeks ago a put out a story about the women's basketball team stuck in mediocre mode and the frustration it has caused among the fans. Yes, I did call for a change and I'm relieved that change is coming.
