Da Boot Sports 9/16/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil BATON ROUGE, LA: LSU's opponent for this weekend, the Central Michigan Chippewas was forced to change their travel plans for this weekend. The team was scheduled to arrive on Friday the day before the contest, but the hotel that was booked for their stay is currently housing utility workers and first responders who are helping with the recovery from Hurricane Ida, leaving the Chippewas with no place to stay. Not only are all hotels booked up, but Governor John Bel Edwards last week issued a proclamation authorizing hotels to cancel any reservations that would displace these workers. Central Michigan will now fly in Saturday morning then fly out immediately after the game.
