Da Boot Sports 11/30/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil Baton Rouge, LA: The coaching search has come to an end. Brian Kelly is the new head coach of the LSU Fighting Tigers. LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward was able to hire Kelly away from the University of Notre Dame where he spend 12 years leading the Irish football program. He leaves Notre Dame as the winning coach in school history with a 113-40 record with two CFP berths and an appearance in the 2013 BCS Championship Game. The terms of Kelly's LSU contract has yet to be released. The unofficial announcement of Brian Kelly leaving South Bend for Baton Rouge, spread across social media rapidly on Monday evening, surprising LSU fans and the entire college football world. LSU's search for Ed Orgeron's replacement turned out to be a secretive process that has kept LSU fans worried, wondering, and guessing for weeks. Rumors and false source leaks of potential candidates would change weekly, causing frustration and doubt. Names such as Dabo Swinney, Jimbo Fisher, James Franklin, Mark Stoops, Luke Fickell, Mel Tucker, Bill O'Brien, Bill Napier, and Lincoln Riley had all been mentioned. Needless to say, when I heard the news, I was very surprised and immediately disagreed with the hire. But after clearing my mind of the disappointment of losing Lincoln Riley to USC, I realized that this is a great hire by Scott Woodward. Brian Kelly is a winner and I see nothing but success in the near future and beyond for the LSU football program... Early sources report that Kelly plans on retaining current LSU assistants, Kevin Faulk (running backs) and Corey Raymond (secondary coach & recruiting coordinator). It is also been mentioned that Kelly hopes to bring Notre Dame offensive coordinator Tommy Rees to Baton Rouge to run the LSU offense. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!

Da Boot Sports 11/29/2021 LSU Sports Information By: Michael Bonnette BATON ROUGE – Senior linebacker Damone Clark and junior placekicker Cade York have both been named SEC Players of the Week for their performance in LSU’s upset win over No. 14 Texas A&M on Saturday in Tiger Stadium. Clark, a local product from Southern Lab, was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week, while York, from McKinney, Texas, is the league’s special teams player of the week. In the win over the Aggies, Clark led the Tiger defense with 10 tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He added a quarterback hurry as the Tigers held Texas A&M to season lows for rushing yards (54) and total yards (296). With LSU leading 27-24 and less than 30 seconds remaining in the contest, Clark sacked Texas A&M quarterback Zach Calzada on back-to-back plays to end the contest. As a unit, LSU recorded four sacks and held Texas A&M’s 1,000-yard rusher Isaiah Spiller to only 27 yards on 11 carries. The honor is the second of the year for Clark, who leads the SEC and ranks No. 2 in the nation in tackles with 135. York kicked field goals of 50 and 47 yards and added three point-after touchdowns in the LSU victory. His nine points moved him into second place on LSU’s career scoring list with 326 points. He also extended his LSU record for career 50-yard field goals to 15. York has now made a school record 118 consecutive PATs. For the season, York has converted 15-of-18 field goals and made all 39 of his PATs. The SEC Player of the Week honor is the first for York this year and the third of his career. Da Boot Sports 11/28/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil BATON ROUGE, LA: LSU finishes the season 6-6 to become bowl eligible after beating #15 Texas A&M on Saturday night in Death Valley. Max Johnson came through in the clutch throwing a 28 yard touchdown pass to Jaray Jenkins with 20 seconds left to pull out an exciting 27-24 upset victory. The huge win ended up being Ed Orgeron's final game as head coach of the LSU Tigers, as he announced in his post game press conference that he will not coach the team in their bowl game. Offensive line coach Brad Davis will handle that duty as the team's interim head coach. LSU's defense continued to play at a high level as they did a great job against the Texas A&M offense holding them to 296 total yards, allowing only 54 yards on the ground. They put good pressure on Zach Calzada throughout the game, sacking him four times, and totaled nine TFL. Senior and team leader Damone Clark led the team with 10 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 3.5 TFL Offensively, the Tigers made the big plays when it counted. Max Johnson who was sacked six times and under tremendous pressure most of the night, finished 22-38 for 306 yards, and 3 touchdowns. Ty Davis-Price had several huge runs to finish with 84 yards on 19 carries. Jaray Jenkins had a great game with 8 catches for 169 yards and 2 touchdown grabs. The offensive line struggled to protect Max Johnson most of the night, but they were fantastic on the final drive of the game, giving Johnson the time needed to make the big throws to pull out the exciting win. The Tigers took the opening kickoff and would drive 44 yards in 13 plays before Texas A&M shut down the drive at the 31 yard line setting up a Cade York 50 yard field goal to give LSU a 3-0 lead with 8:38 left in the first quarter. On the second play of the second quarter, the Tigers struck again to increase their lead to 10-0 on a 45 yard touchdown pass from Max Johnson to Jaray Jenkins. Johnson hit Jenkins in stride down the far sidelines for the score with 14:12 left in the first half. The Aggies finally put a drive together, as they would go 73 yards in seven plays to score on a 13 yard touchdown pass from Zach Calzada to Moose Muhammad, cutting the LSU lead to 10-7. LSU would extended their lead right before the half. Facing 2nd and nine from their own 39 yard line, Max Johnson completed a quick pass in the right flat to Trey Palmer, who followed a couple of great blocks and then out race the A&M defense down the near sidelines for a 61 yard touchdown. Cade York's PAT put the Tigers up 17-7 at halftime. Texas A&M would cut into LSU's lead halfway through the 3rd quarter with a 33 yard field goal by Seth Small, pulling to within 17-10. The Aggies drove 63 yards in ten plays before the LSU defense stiffened to stop the drive at the 16 yard line forcing the Aggies to settle for three. Two possessions later LSU got the three points back as Cade York would hit a 47 yard field goal, putting LSU up 20-10 with 2:29 left in the 3rd quarter. The highlight of the drive was a 29 yard burst by Ty Davis-Price on 1st and ten from the Tigers' 28 to move into A&M territory. The Aggies responded on their next possession which took us into the 4th quarter, driving 75 yards in seven plays, as Zach Calzada would complete a 15 yard touchdown pass to Jalen Preston to pull within three, 20-17 with 14:22 left in the game. Seven minutes later Texas A&M grabbed their first lead of the contest. Starting their drive at the LSU 45 yard line after a nice punt return, the Aggies traveled the 45 yards in six plays, scoring when Calzada would scramble to his left to avoid a heavy LSU rush, completing a pass to Preston, who weaved his way through the Tigers' secondary and into the end zone for a 32 yard touchdown. 24-20 A&M with 7:33 left in the game. Things didn't look good for the Tigers late in the game, trailing 24-20 while starting the final drive from their own 15 yard line with only 1:58 left in the game. The first big play of the drive came when LSU faced a 4th and six at their own 19 yard line. Max Johnson would find a wide open Jack Bech in the middle of the field for an 11 yard gain and a huge 1st down to keep the drive alive. On the very next play Johnson would find Jaray Jenkins for a 31 yard completion to the A&M 40 yard line. Then Johnson hit Malik Nabors for an 11 yard gain to the Aggies 28 yard line on the next play. After two incomplete passes, LSU faced 3rd and ten with 27 seconds remaining. Johnson dropped back to throw and threw a perfect pass to Jaray Jenkins in stride down the far sidelines. Jenkins made a spectacular catch right before crossing the goal line for the score. Cade York kicked the PAT to put LSU up 27-24 with only 20 seconds left on the clock. The Tiger defense stood tall, sacking Calzada on back-to-back plays to end the ball game. The former five star recruit out of Rancho Cucamonga, California played in six games this season before being sidelined with a shoulder injury that ended his sophomore year with surgery. Da Boot Sports 11/21/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil BATON ROUGE, LA: It was the emptiest I've seen Tiger Stadium (not including 2020) since the Curley Hallman era as LSU defeated the UL-Monroe Warhawks 27-14 Saturday night to break a three game losing streak. It was an ugly victory, but the win puts LSU at 5-6 overall, setting up a playoff type situation next week against Texas A&M. The Tigers can finish the season Bowl eligible if they can upset the 16th ranked Aggies next Saturday in Death Valley. The Tigers would win the toss but elect to defer, as ULM received the opening kickoff, going three and out quickly. The Tigers wasted little time going 64 yards in only five plays, scoring on a three yard touchdown run by Max Johnson to take a 7-0 lead. The Warhawks responded with a nice drive, finding themselves with a 3rd and goal from the LSU one yard line. Neil Farrell tackled Abraham Alce for a one yard loss to set up a 4th and goal at the two. Terry Bowden would decide to go for it, and the Tigers kept the Warhawks out of the end zone as ULM quarterback Rhett Rodriguez completed a pass to Malik Jackson who was stopped at the one. The Warhawks drove 74 yards in 13 plays only to come away empty handed. Starting the drive from their own one, LSU moved up the field into Warhawks' territory before the drive stalled at the ULM 26 yard line. Cade York entered the game to attempt a 44 yard field goal, but missed as the kick hit the left upright and bounced away. The 1st quarter would end with LSU leading 7-0. On the first play of the second quarter, Jay Ward intercepted Rodriguez and returned the ball 40 yards for a touchdown. However, after officials reviewed the play, it was determined that he stepped out of bounds at the Warhawks' 33 yard line. The Tigers drove to the ULM nine yard line setting up a Cade York 27 yard field goal to take a 10-0 lead with 12:05 to go in the first half. The Tigers wasted little time increasing the lead on their next possession. Max Johnson hit Malik Nabors deep down the middle of the field on 3rd and six from the LSU 33. Nabors would outrun the ULM secondary for a 67 yard touchdown. 17-0 Tigers with 9:19 left on the clock. Facing a 4th and four from their own 39 yard line, the Tigers lined up in punt formation. Ed Orgeron called a fake punt that back fired badly as Avery Atkins would throw an interception on the play to Josh Newton who returned the ball 22 yards down to the LSU 28 yard line. ULM took advantage of the LSU mistake as two plays later they would score on a Rhett Rodriguez 28 yard touchdown pass to Boogie Knight, cutting the Tigers' lead to 17-7 with 3:34 left in the first half. The Tigers took a 17-7 lead into the halftime break, after a very lackluster first half performance. LSU received the second half kickoff in a very empty Tiger Stadium. They moved the ball into ULM territory, at times only hearing the chant of "Defense! Defense!" coming from ULM fans in a very quiet Death Valley. The Tigers would come up empty on the drive as they failed to convert a 4th and three at the Warhawks' 14 yard line after driving 51 yards in 15 plays, eating up 7:17 off the clock. UL-Monroe continued to play the Tigers tough late into the third quarter as the LSU offense played like they didn't have a pulse. But they would finally show signs of life with 5:38 left in the quarter. Max Johnson marched the LSU offense 82 yards in eight plays, finishing the drive with a 42 yard touchdown pass to Brian Thomas Jr. The score put the Tigers up 24-7 with 1:29 left in the 3rd. The Warhawks would put together a drive late in the 4th quarter, going 58 yards in ten plays, scoring on a 27 yard touchdown pass from Chandler Rogers to Zach Rasmussen, cutting the LSU lead to ten, 24-14 with 3:20 remaining in the game. ULM attempted an onside kick, but Chris Hilton recovered for LSU at the Warhawks' 45 yard line. LSU added a Cade York field goal with 46 seconds left, to secure the 27-14 victory. Photos Below By: Michael Bacigalupi Da Boot Sports 11/14/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil BATON ROUGE, LA: The Tigers fall to 4-6 overall, 2-5 in SEC play after suffering a heart-wrenching 16-13 overtime defeat to the 25th ranked Arkansas Razorbacks. The loss has assured that LSU will finish the season with a non-winning record for a second straight season. It was the second week in a row that a strong performance by the LSU defense would go to waste, thanks to a lifeless offense that sputtered all night long, struggling to score while committing three turnovers deep in Arkansas territory. These young men still have a lot of fight left in them, but they now find themselves needing to win their final two games for a chance at a Bowl game. The Tigers received the opening kickoff but quickly went three and out. Nathan Parodi would field Avery Atkins punt at his own 21, and raced past several Tigers before being pulled down at the Arkansas 47 yard line, a 26 yard punt return. On first down K.J. Jefferson hit Blake Kern for a 18 yard gain down to the LSU 35. The Tigers defense would only allow two yards over the next three plays forcing the Razorbacks to a field goal attempt. Cam Little converted his kick to give Arkansas the early lead, 3-0 with 11:59 left in the first quarter. After two drives with no results, Orgeron would decide to replace Max Johnson with Garrett Nussmeier with the Tigers starting from the Arkansas 43 yard line after a nice punt return by Trey Palmer. The Tigers drove 28 yards in 9 plays before having to settle for a Cade York 34 yard field goal to tie the score at 3-3 with 1:47 left in the quarter. LSU would begin their next drive at the Arkansas 40 with 12 seconds left in the first quarter after an incomplete pass and an 11 yard run by Ty Davis-Price, the game would head to the 2nd quarter. Nussmeier wasted little time as he went deep on the first play of the 2nd quarter hitting Jack Bech in the back of the North end zone for a 29 yard touchdown. York's PAT put the Tigers up 10-3 with 14:52 left in the first half. The rest of the second quarter turned into a defensive battle with neither offense being able to score. LSU headed into halftime with a 10-3 lead. Both offenses would continue to sputter late into the 3rd quarter before Arkansas finally hit pay dirt thanks to a blown coverage by the LSU secondary. On a 1st and ten at the LSU 43 yard line, K.J. Jefferson scrambled to avoid a heavy Tiger pass rush and found a wide open Dominique Johnson down the far sidelines, hitting him for the touchdown to tie the game at 10-10 with 6:01 left in the 3rd. On LSU's next possession, with the ball on their 41, Nussmeier would throw into heavy coverage and be intercepted by Myles Slusher at the Arkansas 37. Arkansas quickly moved into LSU territory as Jefferson completed a 23 yard pass to Warren Thompson. The Tiger defense would stop the drive at the 36 yard line. The Hogs lined up for a field goal attempt on 4th and six, but ran a successful fake punt down to the LSU 13 yard line. LSU's defense again kept the Razorbacks out of the end zone, forcing Cam Little to kick a 27 yard field goal to give Arkansas their first lead of the contest, 13-10 as the 3rd quarter came to an end. The Tigers would answer the Hogs score, driving 48 yards in 12 plays to tie the ball game at 13-13 on a 45 yard Cade York field goal with 10:53 left. Neither team could score over the final 10:53, sending us to overtime. Arkansas won the toss and chose to go on defense, while LSU picked the north end zone. The Tigers would drive down to the ten yard line but ended up turning the ball over as Montaric Brown intercepted Garrett Nussmeier in the end zone. Arkansas would then position the ball in the center of the field at the LSU 19 for Cam Little. Little's kick split the uprights giving the Razorbacks a 16-13 overtime win. “I feel bad for these kids, man," Orgeron said. "I just feel bad. Really do. Two weeks in a row, could’ve put them in a better position to win. They played their hearts out.... We’ve got two games left, we’ve got to regroup, that’s a hurting group in there right now.” Photos Below By: Michael Bacigalupi Photos Below By: Jonathan Mailhes Da Boot Sports 11/12/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil BATON ROUGE, LA: The 4-5 LSU Tigers are in a must win situation over the final three weeks if they hope to avoid a second straight non-winning season. All three remaining games will be at home in Tiger Stadium and if they can continue to play with the same intensity as they did in Tuscaloosa, they have a fighting chance. Finishing with a 7-5 record with a birth to a Bowl game would no doubt help the program tremendously, not only with recruiting but in creating some positive momentum going into the off-season for the team and their new head coach. The first of these three hurdles will be the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Hogs (6-3 overall, 2-3 in SEC play) looked as good as anyone in the country to start the season, impressively winning their first four games, including a 40-21 win over Texas and a 20-10 win over Texas A&M. Then their wheels fell off over the next three weeks, losing three in a row before bouncing back with two consecutive victories over UAPB and Mississippi State. They have at LSU, at Alabama, then host Missouri to finish the regular season. I'm hoping somehow this Arkansas club will look past our 4-5 Tigers ahead to their huge matchup with the Crimson Tide next week. The Tigers have won the last five contest against Arkansas including last season's 27-24 victory in Fayetteville. LSU is catching the Hogs at a good time, with Arkansas coming off a pretty lack-luster performance against Mississippi State last week. The Razorback escaped with a 31-28 win, thanks to the Bulldogs missing all three of their field goal attempts. Ed Orgeron plans on giving Garrett Nussmeier playing time on Saturday against the Hogs after Max Johnson has been plagued with inconsistent play over the last two contest. Both quarterbacks have competed hard in practice this week. “There’s definitely a competition. … Both of them did well,” Orgeron said. “It’s going to come down to we’re going to put them in the game, and we’re going to see which one plays better in the game.” I'm kind of against playing Nussmeier unless absolutely necessary due to injury to Johnson. Why loose his redshirt and waste a season of eligibility just for "Playing Time"..... LSU's success this weekend will hinge on the performance of the offensive line unit, who will be without both starting guards. Ed Ingram suffered a head injury in practice this week that will keep him from playing Saturday, while Chase Hines will miss the rest of the season. Orgeron didn't say why. The 'next man up' philosophy will be put to the test as whoever Orgeron decides to go with as replacements will need to perform at a high level. LSU must continue to run the football well to have any chance of defeating the Hogs. LSU still has a lot to play for. I look for the Tigers to feed off of the crowd in Death Valley and play an inspiring football game. I think the patchwork O-line will play well, giving the backs room to run and both quarterbacks enough time to throw. The LSU defense must shut down the Razorbacks running game which ranks 4th in the nation this year, then continue to blitz often, pressuring KJ Jefferson all night. The Tigers win this one to inch closer to a Bowl game invite. PREDICTION: LSU 38, Arkansas 27 Da Boot Sports 11/7/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil Tuscaloosa, AL: The game went down to the final play. A 30 yard Hail Mary into the end zone that was knocked away, along with a offensive penalty, helped #2 ranked Alabama escape with a 20-14 win over a LSU football team that played their hearts out for 60 minutes, leaving it all out on the field. The story of the game was the aggressive LSU defense that played perhaps their best game of the season. They put pressure on Bryce Young all night long and shut down the Alabama running game, allowing only six yards total on the ground, while a young, inexperienced secondary held their own against a couple of the best receivers in the SEC. The big difference in the game was a key LSU turnover with 1:21 left in the 1st half when Max Johnson had his pass tipped and intercepted by Alabama, which the Tide turned into a quick touchdown. LSU however had a few opportunities to take the lead late in the 4th quarter as the Tigers would drive 74 yards on 14 plays, but came away with no points, as they would go for it on 4th and goal from the seven yard line. Max Johnson, who was under pressure on the play, threw too high for Trey Palmer in the end zone. The Tigers started their next possession at the Alabama 42 yard line after recovering a Bryce Young fumble, but the LSU offense would turn the ball over on downs with 2:36 left in the game. LSU won the toss but elected to defer giving Alabama the ball first to start the contest. Bama would slowly move into LSU territory as Bryce Young would dink and dunk the Tide down the field. The LSU defense stiffened, stopping the drive at their 32 yard line to set up a 49 yard field goal attempt. Alabama kicker Will Reichard's kick fell short, hitting the cross bar, bouncing away to end the Tide's opening drive with zero points. The Tigers started their first possession at their own 32 and move the ball to their 48 yard line where they would face a 4th and four. With nothing to loose, Ed Orgeron dialed up a little trickery calling a fake punt. Avery Atkins would throw a nice jump pass to a wide open Jack Mashburn who would rumble for a 26 yard gain to the Bama 26 yard line. From there, the Tigers took care of their good fortune finishing the drive with Max Johnson completing a 8 yard touchdown pass to Brian Thomas Jr. to take the early lead. 7-0 Tigers with 8:33 left in the 1st quarter. Both defenses dominated the game until the Tide's offense began to show some life with 8:58 to go in the 2nd quarter. Alabama would tie the game up, driving 77 yards on 12 plays, with Brian Robinson Jr. punching the ball into the end zone from two yards out. 7-7 with 2:52 left in the first half. LSU would be the first to turn the ball over on the next possession. On 3rd and four from their own 31, Max Johnson threw into tight coverage. Bama linebacker Christian Harris batted the pass away, and the football found its way into Jalyn Armour-Davis arms for an interception at the LSU 39 yard line. The turnover ended up being a costly one as Alabama's offense took advantage to grab their first lead of the contest. Bryce Young would find John Metchie in the end zone from 8 yards out for the score to put the Tide up 14-7 at the half. The Tigers would start the first drive of the 2nd half from their own 28 yard line. After a 16 yard completion to Jaray Jenkins giving LSU a first down at the 47, Ty Davis-Price would break an 11 yard run, but Henry To'o-To'o stripped the ball loose at the end of the run. Alabama would recover the fumble to set up 1st and ten at their own 42. Two plays later Bryce Young went deep, hitting Jameson Williamson in stride for a 58 yard touchdown. Will Reichard missed the PAT, as Alabama increased their lead to 20-7 with 12:51 left in the quarter. Later in the quarter LSU would dig deep down to make it a new ball game, driving 89 yards in 14 plays to score. The Tigers converted 4th and one twice on the drive, then had the aid of a personal foul penalty on Bama to help cash in. On 1st and goal from the 8, Max Johnson hit Jack Bech at the five yard line, who battled his way into the end zone for the score. 20-14 Bama with 2:27 left in the 3rd quarter. *The LSU defense punched Bama in the mouth all game long, blitzing most of the night to harass Bryce Young throughout the game, sacking him four times, while recording 8 TFL... *Damone Clark led the team with 8 tackles, a sack, and two TFL, ... Dwight McGlothern, Micah Baskerville, and Neil Farrell each finished with seven tackles, ... Jay Ward and Cameron Lewis both played well making huge plays during the game. *Max Johnson who was under pressure much of the game showed his toughness after taking several hard hits. He would finish going 16-32, 160 yards passing with two touchdown and one interception. *Ty Davis-Price led the team in rushing with 104 yards on 23 carries. *Jack Bech had a good game grabbing 5 balls for 53 yards and a touchdown, ... Jaray Jenkins had 54 yards on 4 catches, ... while Brian Thomas Jr. had 3 catches for 28 yards and a score. The Tigers will return to Tiger Stadium next Saturday, Nov. 13th to host the Arkansas Razorbacks. Kickoff is set for 6:30pm and the game will be carried on SEC Network.. LSU now sits at 4-5 overall, 2-4 in the SEC. The Tigers have three games remaining and need two more wins to become Bowl eligible, making this next contest against Arkansas a must win situation if LSU hopes to play an extra game. Hats off to Ed Orgeron and his coaching staff for a great game plan that pushed the Crimson Tide to the limit and for keeping their team motivated to compete at a high level, as well as a round of applause for the LSU players, who instead of throwing in the towel, continue to play hard for their coach and each other. Da Boot Sports 11/4/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil BATON ROUGE, LA: LSU vs. Alabama. It's usually one of the top football games of the college football season. A week of thrill and excitement for LSU fans as the Tigers prepare to battle one of our most disliked SEC opponents. However, the sign of thrill and excitement has been replaced with disappointment and frustration this week as LSU, whom many felt had an opportunity to compete for the SEC West this season, goes into Tuscaloosa on Saturday with a 4-4 record. Not many give the Bayou Bengals a chance against the 3rd ranked Crimson Tide, including myself, and the odds-makers who have made LSU a 28 point underdog. The Tigers have shown little to no ability to run the football or protect the passer against top notch competition this season. LSU is also a beat up football team missing several key players to injury. Players who if healthy, no doubt could have made a difference in this upcoming ball game. Andre Anthony, Ali Gaye, Joseph Evans, Derek Stingley Jr., Eli Ricks, Kayshon Boutte, and Anthony Bradford have all lost for the season. The LSU secondary will also be without Major Burns, Sage Ryan, and Cordale Flott this weekend. Even that may be just too much for DBU to overcome against Bryce Young and the Bama passing game. But it's LSU's inability to stop the run that raises the highest concern. Since the Tide's loss to Texas A&M, they have recommitted themselves to a power running attack and the Tigers have given up 896 yards rushing over their last four contest. Hopefully with the Tigers having an extra week to rest up and prepare for the Tide, they will be able to pull a rabbit out of a hat and if not pull a shocking upset, at least keep the game respectable. I just don't see that happening since LSU couldn't practice or scrimmage last week due to a shortage of healthy players, along with Nick Saban and his team having an extra week to prepare also. I hope and pray for a purple & gold miracle on Saturday, but the only way LSU can win this game is if they play perfect and mistake free, with Alabama suffering a rare melt down. Looks like our Tigers may be facing a second straight embarrassing loss to the Tide after last season's 55-17 massacre in Tiger Stadium. PREDICTION: Alabama 62, LSU 20 Da Boot Sports 11/1/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil BATON ROUGE, LA: Sources have reported that LSU quarterback Myles Brennan will be entering the NCAA transfer portal. Brennan was poised to reclaim his starting quarterback position in 2021 after missing most of the 2020 season with a serious abdomen injury that occurred against Missouri. The weekend before fall practice was schedule to begin, Brennan fell victim for a freak off the field accident. While on a family fishing trip, he tripped while walking on the dock carrying fishing supplies to the boat, landing on and breaking his left non-throwing arm. Myles and his family announced that he had no plan to leave LSU and would again become the LSU starter after recovering from the injury. As fall camp began, it was reported that Brennan could recover in 8 weeks and return by the middle of the season. But unfortunately that ended up not to be the case. I'm very sad to hear this news. I'm a huge Myles Brennan fan and hate to see a talented young man who has been so patient waiting his turn, end up deciding to look elsewhere to finish off his college career. All of us here at Da Boot Sports wish him the best... |
