Day Eight of LSU Spring Football Camp

BATON ROUGE, LA - By the time we were allowed into Saturday's practice all individual drills had been completed for the day and the team had started scrimmaging 11 on 11.

The two highlights of the session came on when John Emery Jr. popped through a nice hole opened by the offensive line, running through a tackle before breaking into the open field. He than out raced Jay Ward to the end zone for a 50 plus yard touchdown.

The other came on the final play of the day when Walker Howard went deep hitting Kyren Lacy in stride for a 60 plus
yard touchdown ending practice with the team jumping around celebrating the score.

The scrimmage had an eletric atmosphere as the team played with a lot of emotion and passion. They really were enjoying their day competing against one another.

The Tigers have six spring camp practices remaining including a full scrimmage in Tiger Stadium next Saturday that we, the media will be able to attend. Then spring camp will conclude with the spring game in Tiger Stadium on April 23rd.
