Weil BATON ROUGE, LA - The Heisman Trophy will be awarded on Saturday, December 9th at 7:00pm CST in New York City and the five award finalist have been invited to attend. LSU's electrifying quarterback Jayden Dainels, who is now the heavy favorite will be joined by, Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr., Oregon quarterback Bo Nix and Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. No one meant more to their team than Jayden Daniels. Daniels carried the Bayou Bengals to a 9-3 record and a birth to the ReliaQuest Bowl where LSU will face Wisconsin on January 1st. in Tampa. Daniels dazzled the nation with crazy video game type numbers each week as defenses struggled to slow down the senior signal caller. He finished the 2023 season completing 236-327 passes, a 72.2 completion % for 3,812 yards with 40 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions, while rushing for a team leading 1,134 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. Without a doubt he is the most dynamic and simply the best player in college football this season.
