John Emery Jr. Returns to Tigers, Ready to Contribute

   BATON ROUGE, LA - LSU senior running back John Emery Jr. will be available to play for the Tigers this week after sitting out the first two games of the season due to academic issues that unexpectedly extended over from last season's suspension. 

   Emery has had a strong spring and fall camp and is looking forward to finally returning to the team and is ready to hit the field and contribute.

   Brian Kelly has been very pleased with Emery and is looking forward to working him back into the offensive attack. ​“Let’s be careful now, he’s been out for a while, so to put a lot of expectations on him for the first game, we certainly can’t do that,” Kelly said. “We have other backs that have done really well, but he will be part of the mix. We’ve seen his capabilities throughout camp. We’ve kept him active within our rotations, so he’s ready to play. We’re excited to get him back.”
