Da Boot Sports 10/17/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil BATON ROUGE, LA: Its been reported by several sources that LSU and Ed Orgeron have come to an agreement to part ways. Ed Orgeron will finish the 2021 season as the team's head coach but will not return in 2022. Since winning the national championship in 2019, Orgeron's record is 9-8. He will be owed a buyout of nearly $17.8 million, according to the terms of his contract. Apparently the deal was made last week before the Florida game was played. In 2019 Orgeron had it all come together between players and coaching staff in route to a 15-0 national championship season that arguable could be called the best ever. Since then, the program has struggled not only on the field but with several off the field problems. So the search will now begin for Athletic Director Scoot Woodward for Ed Orgeron's replacement. More to come...
