Da Boot Sports 9/19/2021 By: Terrill J. Weil BATON ROUGE, LA: LSU showed improvement Saturday night against Central Michigan, but Ed Orgeron knows they still have a long way to go. "We made some improvement tonight." Orgeron said. "For the most part we played a pretty good game. There are a lot of things we still need to get better at." Below are videos of post-game interviews after Saturday night's 49-21 victory over Central Michigan. The non-conference tune up games are complete and now the LSU football team will begin SEC play this Saturday on the road in Starkville. Mississippi State (2-1) suffered their first loss of the season last week, falling to Memphis 31-29 at the hands of a questionable officials call. The SEC admitted that it was an officiating error on a punt return that Memphis returned for a touchdown that ended up being the difference in the ball game. LSU should head into the contest revenge-minded after last season's embarrassing 44-34 loss in Tiger Stadium. GEAUX TIGERS!!! QB - Max Johnson TE - Jack Bech CB - Derek Stingley Jr. LB - Damone Clark DE - B.J. Ojulari
