   BATON ROUGE, LA - Most of us have known that LSU safety Greg Brooks Jr. was missing time from the LSU program due to a medical emergency. 

   This morning, his family released a statement about his current condition.

   Last week Brooks was diagnosed with a large brain tumor that required emergency surgery. On Friday doctors successfully removed the mass and are now awaiting biopsy results.

   Please keep Greg Brooks Jr. and his family in your prayers.
