BATON ROUGE, LA - BREAKING NEWS: Looks like the LSU quarterback competition has come to an end for the 2022 football season.

Sources have leaked that Brian Kelly and Mike Denbrock have decided over the weekend that Arizona State transfer Jayden Daniels will start for LSU. Garrett Nussmeier will be the backup.

Myles Brennan was absent from practice this morning and has apparently decided to leave the program.

LSU and Coach Kelly did him a disservice by asking him to come back from the portal when they knew that they were going to sign the player from Arizona. His chances of playing this year are gone.

Daniels fits Kelly’s offense better than the others. I do believe Nuss will get opportunities to shine. Daniels has got to prove he is heady enough to play well in this offense. If he stumbles, Nuss Will get his opportunity to shine.
