By: Terrill J. Weil Da Boot Sports! Tigers Eyeing 12-0 Our LSU Fighting Tigers will look to go 12-0 for the first time since 2011. They will host the Aggies of Texas A&M who will come into Death Valley tomorrow night with hopes & dreams of upsetting the #2 ranked team in Nation. A&M (7-4), is coming off of a 19-13 hard fought loss to Georgia last weekend. While LSU had their way with the Hogs, blasting Arkansas, 56-20. LSU will honor 15 Seniors Saturday night. "Those guys have bled Purple & Gold, they've worked their tail off. They're great young men., great leadership." said Orgeron. "The last time in Tiger Stadium. I know it's going to be an emotional night for those guys. It's always a great send-off, a first-class deal, and our guys are looking forward to it." The Tigers lost to Texas A&M, 74-72, in seven overtimes last season. "There is no question." said Coach O. "It's going to be on. I'll never forget that game last year. We're going to be ready." LSU is looking to head to Atlanta next week with a perfect record, and the Aggies are the only thing standing in the way of that. Texas A&M quarterback, Kellen Mond comes into the contest needing 290 yards passing to hit 3,000. He has passed for 19 touchdowns and has added 392 yards on the ground with seven rushing scores. Isaiah Spiller, Aggies RB, leads the team in rushing with 803 yards on the ground and 8 TDs so far this season. The LSU defense will have another week to prove to a lot of so called experts that the Tigers aren't as bad as advertised on that side of the ball. The Aggies run a very multiple, pro style type of offense, averaging 32.1 points a game, which gave the Tigers problems last year. LSU will need to play solid defense, avoid missing tackles, create turnovers, and not have any emotional, silly penalties at key times during the game. The A&M defense has played well this season. They have a very talented defensive line, big, athletic LBers, and a secondary that makes plays. However, the Aggies defense hasn't faced anything like Joe Burrow, and the LSU offensive attack. LSU is on a 12 game winning streak at home dating back to last season. Texas A&M's 4 losses have all come to teams ranked in the top 10. Clemson, Auburn, Alabama, & Georgia. LSU will be motivated after the CFP Committee bumped them down to #2 this week, as well from last season's seven OT loss burning in their minds. But the Tigers need to stay focused on the task at hand by not allowing the emotions of Senior night and 'revenge' effect their performance. I believe Jimbo Fisher will have his team prepared to play. I see the LSU offense taking command late in the game and the Tiger defense standing tall when needed too, to win this one and preserve a perfect regular season. MY PREDICTION: LSU 38, Texas A&M 27 Comments are closed.
